Many international students in Germany face challenges during their studies – in fact, more than 40% decide to discontinue their degree programs. However, there are many alternatives you can consider, such as changing your field of study or switching to a dual vocational training program. The dual training system is a unique feature of Germany and one of the key pillars that contribute to the high professionalism of the German labor market. In this way, the German training system offers another path to gain the professional skills you need in order to build a successful career in Germany.

Experienced counselors and experts from the Central Study Counseling of BTU, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Cottbus, the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit), and other organizations supporting international students and career starters from abroad will provide insights into:

  • The German education and training system
  • Entry points and career opportunities in the job market
  • Required German language skills for training and employment
  • Financing aspects of vocational training in Germany
  • Important aspects you should know as an international student in Germany

After the short input sessions, you will have sufficient time to ask your own questions and engage in direct discussions with the experts.

In coopration with Project „Willkommen in Cottbus“ we  warmly invite you to join us and explore your options!
